Designer wanted Hi, IMPORTANT: You have to come with a design for the frontpage of http://www.maroc.nl. A lot of the designers bidding on this only show their portfolio. I want to know what you can make of the design with the following specs. Otherwise i cannot judge whether you will suit our needs in this project. The 200 dollars are only for the acceptance of your frontpage design and ideas (you may want to design other pages in order to give us a better a idea). Remember, this is a pitch for getting the bigger project. Thank you. We are planning to rebuild our website and are looking for some very creative design-talent. The following keywords should be taken into account as to what the design should look like: Youthfull (age 15 -30) Arab/Morocco (Some Dutch influences as it is for the Arab community in the Netherlands) Islam High usability (!) Original Creative The thing we want to see from all of you that apply for the design-part is to give as an idea of what you are capable of. Please give us a link to your portfolio. Besides the link we want you to make a design for the frontpage of http://www.maroc.nl. You have to take the keywords mentioned at the beginning into account. Don’t limit yourself to the portal-structure as you see on http://ww.maroc.nl. We want a ‘new’ design, not an old design with new colors. So play around with the design and use your imagination. You can see this as a pitch. If your design is picked we’ll pay you 200 dollars for the design of the frontpage. We will then create another project on RAC and define the design-job in detail. This bid is to get the designer that meets our vision. For more information you can ask them here. Thanks for your time and effort. Yours truly, Karim Manager upgrade [login to view URL]

Hi,
Thank you for bidding on this project. As you might have read this bid is a step to the bigger designproject that has a budget of around 3000 dollars. In order to pick the right designer we have asked you to give us an idea of what you think would be suitable.
There has only been 1 design yet. So if you want to get the design-bid for the big project, you might wanna let me know whether you are planning to post a design as stated in this bid-request.
I will be closing this bid by friday 9th of june 2006. Anyone that has not posted a design will not be taken into account.
Thank you,
karim
P.S.: If you are an excellent coder (PHP/MySQL/XML/CSS) then we might even let you code parts of the project too.
## Platform
Summary of the bigger project: We want to rebuild all of our sevices that can be found at [login to view URL] add some. The main thing is to make it look much much better, so design is very important to us. It has to be original and very usable at the same time. The website will be built in a LAMP-environment. We have not yet started programming, but we first want to get the design on the rails. We estimate the project as a whole (design, programming, deployment and testing) on a couple of thousand dollars. Technical notes: MySQL PHP XML AJAX XHTML CSS I hope this gives you an idea of the bigger picture.
