**Task 1 ??" Login and Registration**: * Database regulated Registration with complete form validation, including checking to see if a username is already being used by another member. * Rules based access ??" 3 different levels of access in addition to administrator level. * Username and password to be validated on the server side prior to passing that information off to the database. * Registration should provide an annual renewal flag and cancel membership if not renewed. * Members (persons who have registered and been approved) will have access to restricted areas on the website based on to-be-determined access rules. **Task 2 ??"** Library Function - document storage and retrieval. We have a requirement for storing a few thousand documents and need to have relational tagging such that we can offer: * Drill-down search (5 or more levels of topical tagging) for search & retrieval * Search by category (>10 unique categories), keyword, and document publish date * Result relevancy should place a higher emphasis on document/webpage titles, and metatags than it does on the document text. * The search engine should have a cron job (or similar timed function) to respider the site once a day to check for new documents and webpages to include in its index. **Task 3 ??" Forum** We need a bulletin board that does not use separate registration for the forum but will use the rules based login in Task 1 for access control. **Task 4** ??" We need a blog that, like the BB, is accessed from our website without leaving the website. We would like a single registration to give access to protected pages on the site, the blog, and the message board.
