Automated Mailbox Checking Webservice

A webservice that checks your mailbox I'm looking for someone to build a web service that does the following: 1. Automatically checks a POP or IMAP mailbox (without deleting the contents of the mailbox from the server) every X minutes 2. Counts the number of emails currently in the Inbox. 3. Creates an html accessible "chicklet" (like the Feedcount box offered by Feedburner -- see [login to view URL]) that shows the total number of emails currently in the inbox. The chicklet will: a) change colors (to red, yellow, and green) based on threshold numbers previously set by the user (for example, if the user sets a threshold of 50 for green and 100 for yellow and the chicklet will be green if there are 49 emails in the inbox, yellow if there are 99 emails in their inbox, and red if there are more than 100 emails in the inbox) b) include a custom text message depending on the color (for example, if green the message might be "Not that busy", if yellow it might be "A litle behind" and if red it might be "Take a number".) c) include a "time to respond" number (in minutes), which is calculated by dividing the number of messages in the inbox by 25 and multiplying by the user-configurable "time to respond to 25 emails"). There will need to be a configuration web page that allows the user to set: 1. The frequency (in minutes) that the server must check the mailbox 2. The mailbox type (IMAP or POP) 3. The mail server address 4. The mail server username 5. The mail server password 6. Yellow, Red and Green Threshold numbers and messages 7. Time to respond to 25 messages and the configuration page will also contain the HTML code necessary for the user to post the chicklet on any website. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Linux.
