Dear Sir/Madam
I have a website setup on IIS6.0 which has a public IP address and the private IP address [login to view URL]
I have an internal network camera (from [[login to view URL]][1]) which has the IP address 192.168.0.4. and runs an embedded Linux Webserver (and will soon have several more).
If I insert the below code from script1 (attached zip) into an .asp webpage on the IIS webserver it displays the camera pictures on the page:
However, when accessing the webserver externally this obviously dosn't work as it is tries to send the the external browser to the private address [login to view URL] which it won't recognise . It is also client-side code.
Is there anyway I can get the webserver to fetch the camera pictures from the 'downstream' camera for the browser, or send the browser to the 'downstream' server?
The only alternative is to give the camera a public IP as well, which is something I can't do for security reasons.
If it helps AXIS have a Camera Control SDK for their cameras at <[login to view URL]>
From this SDK the following (more simple) code also works (see script2 in attached zip) if inserted into an html (or asp) webpage on the IIS webserver.
However, again, this dosn't work as it is tries to send the the external browser to the private address [login to view URL] which it won't recognise.
Surely this has to be possible without exposing the camera to the Internet?
