The goal of this project is to create the presentation layer of a system that already exists on Windows 32, and make it very attractive and similar to a windows application.
This system was developed by us, it has been developed on a three tier architecture. The system uses WebServices to pull statistical information from a server, via XML, and helps displaying it, tabulating, filtering that information, and creating graphs about it.
As a first stage, for this particular project, we are looking for someone that creates a Web presentation tier.
With that we mean the following:
the current win32 application brings information from a server via WebServices and displays it to the user.
It is not intended on this first stage to perform the actual Webservices calls,
We just need to have a very similar looking interface that runs on a browser, and we will add the Webservices requests, or make another project to add them.
However, we are providing some xml files that simulate the responses from the webservices server, so that the actual developer can use them as raw data to be used.
Please be aware that screen functionality is expected, filters must work, for example, if the user asks for all records from day 1 to day 2, on line 4, with user John, we will expect you to pass that information to us and it would have to be easy and modular so that it would be easy for us to insert the query to pull the data from the server (or we can give it to you if you want)
We are uploading a demo file in order for the programmer to evaluate what needs to be done, and as said some xml files with demo responses from server so that you can see actual data for developing.
The current demo does have a recording playing feature, that is if I double click on a record, it will download a file and play it under quicktime, with control buttons for moving forward and backward among others. This functionality would be desirable on this, or at least a recomendation on how to perform it.
We already have some of the work under php, so it is a most desirable environment to work with.
BUT, if you offer a different approach which uses Closed Code, I would like to study it, consider you will need to guide us on how to integrate the webservices requests. but it would be a valid offer.
What we need is a very attractive interface, very similar to a windows screen, and are open to any kind of suggestion to improve design.
