create script for automatic (simple) dvd menu creation

We currently use ffmpeg and dvdauthor to create a DVD that automatically runs in the player but we would like to add a simple DVD menu to this process. With "a simple menu" I mean a background image (that can be changed easily, e.g. by replacing a [login to view URL] in a specific folder) with a big play button on top of it to start the video. The creation of the video and the DVD is an automatic process that runs on linux commandline. Therefor the creation of this menu (and the ISO afterwords) needs to be automated. Preferably in shell and/or php script (the flavours of our current program). As attachment you'll find an example background, button and the result when you've combined these to into a menu. I found a description about how to create a menu on this page: [login to view URL] However I cant get it to work on CentOS6. Is there anybody who could make a script and detailled how-to to create a dvd menu with the attached files? The goal is a detailed description how to get the it up-and-running on a minimal installation of CentOS6 and a script that can be integrated in our process. Prerequisites for the script: - a mpg-file with the movie (we'll provide this) - a background-image (we'll provide this, or see attachment) - images for the button (you'll probably need more than one to "animate" the key-pressed", we can provide these) - and xml/configuration file to set the position of the button on the screen. Output: - an ISO file that can be burned on a DVD and played on every player. - when DVD is played, the menu is displayed (and is accessible through the menu button on the remote) and working ;)
