Mallee Sustainable Farming (not for profit) is running a major conference in Mildura, Victoria on the 7th and 8th of August 2017 targeting the dryland farming communities and industries across the Mallee region of Victoria, New South Wales and South Australia.
The conference title is ;
Sustainable Mallee Farming: Our future in the Global Food System
The conference is funded through a "National Landcare Programme—Sustainable Agriculture Small Grants Round 2015‐16".
We anticipate that more than 200 leading farmers, consultants, agronomists, bankers, finance specialists, environmental scientists and agricultural scientists – will come together in Mildura to be inspired, challenged and informed about how farming in the Mallee will meet the future needs of the global food system.
The conference aims to engage the Mallee farming community in discussion about the important issues impacting the future sustainability of our farming systems in the global food and fibre markets.
The four themes that frame the conference content are;
· The Customer in 2025
· The Supply Chain in 2025
· The Farm in 2025
· Farming Communities in 2025
