Hello, Your project sounds very interesting. A "new crisp, clear and simple design" would be challenging yet full of possibilities. I would suggest keeping a similar format as the current design, ie, a simple solid colored background where the type and the symbol can be placed. Another suggestion would be to have a simple symbol, one that is not overly complicated so that it is still legible when it is resized on a smaller carton or you could eliminate the symbol and only keep the type. That way the type treatment can be played with. We can start by creating several concepts to explore some or all of these ideas plus any others you have.
