Hi,
I really like the wedding favor boxes shown in Pictures 1 and 2. I think that a similar product can be designed to hold gift cards for birthdays and other holidays.
I am looking for a designer to create some concepts of the idea. I intend to work with a manufacturer abroad to produce the boxes. I'll describe it as best as I can:
The box would be just large enough to house a gift card that is standing upright, held by a paper stand that is a similar shape to the stand in Picture 3.
The design:
- I like that the interior of the wedding favor box in Picture 1 is visible. The new box should have a similar concept to this, except the design of the window lace should be birthday themed. Balloons, birthday cakes, other party symbols would be appropriate
- Instead of butterflies at the top, the closing clasps of the box should be balloons, cakes, or some other birthday inspired object.
- I'm not sure about the printing costs or capacity of the manufacturers, so at this time, I'd like to see the box in both one solid color like the wedding favor boxes in Picture 1, and a printed, multicolor option, like the box in Picture 4.
- Also design the stand. It can be a simple, solid color stand. All it is meant to do is hold the gift card upright. An example of the kind of stand I have in mind is in Picture 3. Clearly, the stand would be smaller and made of paper.
- Initially, I don't need any specific file format. I just need some kind of image to show manufacturers. Sooner than later, I may try producing samples with a laser cutter that I have access to.
Qualifications:
- More than experience, I'd like to hire someone who is innovative and very artistic. The success or failure of these boxes will be based on their appearance, so creativity is the highest priority.
- Be prepared to share examples of your artistic style. I'm open to different styles, as long as the final product will appeal to the largest amount of people.
- Experience designing packaging and stationary of this sort is a big plus.
- Quick, efficient work and communication is essential.
If the first boxes sell well, then more work could come your way. As far as payment goes, I would be open to a royalty fee per box, flat rate, and/or other system. This is all negotiable.
