We require a replacement web site for our existing remote data acquisition web site. The web site displays both real time and historic data collected from many remote stations which gather environmental data such as temperature, humidity, wind speed, wind direction. The web site also displays building and systems management type data such as KWh, voltage, pressure, flow, vibration etc. Each customer has their own login which displays only the remote stations belonging to them. Each remote station page is user customisable to display real time measurements as virtual dials and bar graphs. Customers can also see their historic data in graph and table format, and download this data in CSV format. The customer is also able to set alarm levels for various measurements e.g. high wind speed, power failure, low pressure etc which then generates SMS text alerts and email alerts to pre defined recipients.
The actual data collection from the remote sites is already in place, and all the data is written to a mySQL data base with two main tables. One for real time readings which is overwritten every minute. This table is used to generate the real time displays and alarms. The second table is the historic data which is continuously added to and is used to generate history graphs and tables. Over 100 customers with a total 200 - 300 remote sites use the current system.
This is a complex and demanding project which will require a deep understanding of how the system works by the developer in order to build a successful system.
The current system we use is totally bespoke, and we are looking to have a new data display and customer interface web site build on a standard development platform to ensure future proofing of the system. The new web interface should also be fully responsive so that users can view real time and historic data on tablets and smart phones.
See below some data sheet which give an overview of the existing system together with some screen shots.
Access will be provided to the current system for shortlisted bidders, together with a detailed specification to enable bidders to understand the full scope of the project. To view a typical remote site go to:
