Basic link fix on html page

My client made a few changes to his home page and now a link is not working. There is a Flash box right next to the link and it appears that the flash is overlaying most of it causing the hotspot link to only work in a very small area. Client wants the flash to keep working in same location and fix the link area. NOTE: Client says that the link works perfect while testing it but doesn't work properly when it is uploaded to site. Possible flash mod needed? Client also requests a detailed explanation as to how you fixed it so he doesn't run into the problem in the future. Payment made in full at end of project.
