I have a simple application that is essentially a phonetic (IPA) transcription engine. The application was originally programmed in Visual Basic 6, and runs on a Windows platform. I'm really interested in making this application cross-platform so that Mac users will be able to utilize the application. Using the logic from the original VB application, I would like to create an identical or nearly identical Flash application that could run on my website. My current business model is that users pay (via PayPal) to download and install the application on their own PC, but what I envision is a subscription-type service where users log in and use the application on the web. So I would like to have this functionality developed for my existing website. So the project really has 2 stages: 1. develop the Flash application based on the existing VB application 2. develop the subscription functionality for my existing website. If you'd like to see what I have right now, visit: www.ipanow.com. From there you can download the free trial version of the application so you can see what it does.
