I'm working on a game titled "Grief," and need an experienced character artist. The game is a sequel to The Company of Myself, which you can find on Google and all sorts of Flash game websites. It recently won "Indie Game of the Year" at the Flash Game Summit. It's a bit of a deceptive name for an award, so it's not quite as impressive as it sounds at first, but still noteworthy. The game is a story about a man who finds out that he's dying. The chapters of the game are modeled after the five stages of grief.
I also worked on a game called Spewer, alongside Edmund McMillen (Known for Gish, Super Meat Boy, Aether, and various others).
This project already has one artist who is handling things like background art and most of the other elements that don't move. You'd be cooperating with him on certain bits and pieces, but for the most part, the two positions are relatively separate.
You would be creating and animating four characters for the game. One of them (the main character) needs a full set of in-game animations (idle, running, jumping, etc). The others only appear as portraits in dialogue boxes and either one or two cutscenes (depending on time constraints).
The project has some really talented folks working on it already, so I expect you to match up! If you're interested, be sure to send me some examples of past work.
