I am currently a English major at Brigham Young University - Idaho and I am working on a series of short stories when I can. Should I receive the honor of working on this project, I would either tell the story of a hunter saving a prince or princess in the middle ages, a vengeful vampire after the man or woman who turned the character, or about a shepherd trying to save a lost sheep from a wolf. Why am I the right person for this role? well anyone who has a creative mind and a adventurous childhood like mine can right a short adventure story. My idea would to have a similar story to the boys of stand by me or the goonies. Everyone loves these stories about group of kids on a adventure. Nowadays kids do all there adventures infront of a TV, which is quite sad for me as I had a great childhood with my friends. I would love to write stories of a group of boys who are too adventurous for there own good. A group of friends who like to spend there time kicking a football against a wall day long, playing tag, going on bike rides and generally living there lives. If I could right some sort of short stories as episodes of a group of boys having there daily adventure together that would be FANTASTIC!

This is my pitch, or opening, rather, Ammon of Amun, The pathway was scarcely visible in the twilight. ‘Brave man don’t feel fear’, he thought. He continued striding down the path, with each step a loud and resounding thump went through the tunnels. He grabbed the left side of his chest, feeling as though there was a horde of mice trying to break free from his body. He saw the end of the tunnel emerging in sight. ‘Almost there’, he thought, afraid and excited. A gloom overcame him at the thought of her refusing his request, after all, he was risking his life. When he reached the end of the tunnel, he slowly looked around the surrounding meadow and saw no signs of guards. A stinging wind swept the woods and he took it as a sign. Ammon step out of the tunnels and sprinted swiftly through the grass, towards the emerging city, surrounded by a wall. Two guards stood by the open gateway holding spears, and behind them, the great city of Amun. Built by the finest masonry of the world, the city stood right at the heart of an oasis. Even though he stood facing certain death, unease and afraid, he would not give up. A vast sweet silence crept through the trees, Ammon took notice. ‘If only I could break the silence, maybe I could get in without having to kill or get killed’, he thought with a glint of hope.-- TO BE CONTINUED.
