With a project this size it may be difficult to capture all of the requirements via email and an onsite needs assessment may be wise. Depending on where you are located in the United States I may be able to work an onsite visit into my bid. When I worked in public accounting the joke was “why did the auditor cross the road? – Because they looked in the file and that’s what they did last year”. Even though I always enjoyed the joke the reality is that needs change. When you build an application you also need to ensure it is adaptable to future requirements. If this is not done you will be rebuilding the application from scratch within a year or two. Please be aware that many programmers will give you exactly what you ask for but this may not fit your actual needs. I have worked as the business analyst developing user requirements as well as the developer of a number of excel applications in my previous position. I am confident that I can provide a solid application that is also adaptable to you future needs. I spent 2 years in public accounting doing audits during the day and rushing back to the office to do tax returns at night.
