Create timesheet report that uses data from csv file and create reports for each name in the report. Source will include 15-20 columns of data, not all columns will be used. Source file will be a csv file imported into Excel and then a customized version of the timesheet is created with all the clock ins and outs on the report. Multpage with multiple names. See attached sample file with fields needed on the report. [login to view URL] is the what the report format should look like. [login to view URL] - sample source file [login to view URL] - sample of report, but only used as reference. The hours will have to be calculated to show overtime, i.e. hours over 8 and DT hours of 12, but these should be variables that can be changed. Attached find a sample report. The template should be easy to change in Excel so that when the next batch if data is imported it automatically is imported and formatted. The process should be straight forward, i.e. open file, select source and run, report is saved to new file.

Hello Victorcab I am an Excel VBA developer. Your detailed specifications are great and clearly spell out what you need. I can build a macro solution to import and reformat the data for you for delivery within a day or two. I do object - oriented VBA for maintainability and can also parameterize items like normal work day, overtime and double - time work hours. I'm proposing a three-click solution from opening file browser, selecting input file to process, through generating the report and then prompting for "Save as" filename to write the output file to. Hi victorcab, I specialize in Excel macro based projects. Would be happy to work on your Timesheet report project. The last successfully completed project of mine was a complex Timesheet based project with numerous reports, which in addition to overtime included graphs, average work time by person, average work time by category, weekly analysis, etc. The calculation were more specific in minutes (1440 minutes for each day). Although I can't find the attachments but it makes a sense. I will provide you VBA macro script under windows excel which ill be able to process any size of csv files with any number of workers and variable overtime with one click.

Hello Victor! I've created a timesheet in Excel before (take a look at my profile to find a link to my LinkedIn Profile) so I know what you need. I wasn't able to see any of the attachments, maybe I will after I bid, but I do have a question. You said you wanted a multipage report, would that be one for each person. Would it be Ok to have one report where you can select a person and see all of their hours? Or do the reports need to be sent out to individuals (ie: you DO NOT want anyone else to see another's timesheet). Thanks!

Hi! I found no files attached to clearly define the parameters of this job. How many rows/page, how many pages/file and how many files have to be processed. I have a considerable amount of experience dealing with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, especially pertaining to calculating hours for employees. I am able to create this report in a way that will allow the thresholds for Overtime and Double-Time calculations to be changed easily. I am also able to separate these employee, or by day, depending on what you require. I am flexible on the method by which this accomplished. Ideally, I would use VBA to allow the user to select the target CSV file and then parse the data, sending it to a new workbook. This could also be done in a Macro-Enabled Workbook which would create standard Excel workbooks. Or, this could also be accomplished using a Macro-Enabled Template.
