I am looking for someone very experienced with CAESAR II - Pipe Stress Analysis for a compressor piping system. In order to qualify please advise in your response the difference between load cases involving earthquake analysis. More specifically explain the differences in between the following seismic load case analysis's.
Option 1:
L1.1 W+T1+P1+U1+U2 (OPE)
L1.2 W+T1+P1-U1+U2 (OPE)
L1.3 W+T1+P1+U1-U2 (OPE)
L1.4 W+T1+P1-U1-U2 (OPE)
L1.5 W+T1+P1+U3+U2 (OPE)
L1.6 W+T1+P1-U3 +U2 (OPE)
L1.7 W+T1+P1+U3-U2 (OPE)
L1.8 W+T1+P1-U3-U2 (OPE)
Option 2:
L2.1 W+T1+P1+U1 (OPE)
L2.2 W+T1+P1-U1 (OPE)
L2.3 W+T1+P1+U2 (OPE)
L2.4 W+T1+P1-U2 (OPE)
L2.5 W+T1+P1+U3 (OPE)
L2.6 W+T1+P1-U3 (OPE)
I will send a sample Caesar file and additional information to qualified candidates. Let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you.
Option 1 contains seismic acceleration in horizontal direction combined with vertical direction. Option 2 describes only separate cases, no combination of horizontal and vertical direction.
