THIS PROJECT AIM TO SHOW DIGITAL FILTER IS A CLEVER WAY OF

IIR PROTOTYPES. THIS PROJECT WILL AIM AT QUANTIFYING THE QUALITY
IMPROVEMENTS FOR SEVERAL IIR( AND ALSO FIR) PROTOTYPES
ACHIEVABLE AND ALSO AT ASSESING THE RELATIVE MERITS OF THE
(``CM'') AND (``HARRIS'') METHODS.
THIS PROJECT AIM TO
1] REVIEW AND UNDERSTAND THE BACKGROUND LITERATURE AND ESTABLISH
SUITABLE MATLAB AND SIMULINK TEST BEDS THAT WILL SOLVE THIS
PROJECT.
2] EXERCISE TESTBEDS ON SMALL SPECIMEN ELLIPTIC AND CHEBYCHEV
LOWPASS AND BANDPASS FILTERS AND IMPORT SHARPENED RESULTS INTO
SKETCH - A - FILT IN MATLAB TO SECURE AND DOCUMENT QUALITY
MEASUREMENT. THIS DATA SHOULD BE RECORDED AND COMPARED AND
DISCUSSED IN YOUR RESULT.
3} ESTABLISH COMPARABLE TEST DIMENSIONALITIES FOR (``CM'') AND
(``HARRIS'') AND QUANTIFY THE STRENGTHS AND LIMITATIONS OF EACH
METHODS.. THIS WILL INCLUDE COMPARING QUALITY, ERRORS AND COST
OF EACH METHODS. THIS WILL ALSO INVOLVE COMPARING THE DATA AND
STRUCTURE OF EACH MODELS.
4) YOU WILL ALSO HAVE TO CARRY OUT COMPARABLE QUALITY
MEASUREMENTS FOR LINEAR PHASE FIR FILTERS AND ATTEMPT TO
CONFIRM EARLIER PREDICTIONS( FOR EXAMPLE SHOWING ACHIEVEABLE
PEAK RIPPLE SIZES) IN THE LITERATURE BY THE TWO AUTHORS.
5) COMPARE RESULTS ACHIEVABLE WITH MULTIPLE SHARPENING PASSES
{WITH SIMPLE UNITY TANGENCY FACTORS OF 3 OR MORE)
THE RESOURCES TO BE USED FOR THIS PROJECT IS MATHLAB, SIMULINK ,
SKETCH-A-FILT AND DSP SPEEDSTER.
THE DELIVERABLES.
THIS WILL INVOLVE PRODUCING A MODEL OF THE SOLUTION WHICH WILL
INVOLVE A STATEMENT ON THE INTRODUCTION, BACKGROUND ,
APPLICATION, LIMITATION AND FUTURE DEVELOPMENT.
THIS WILL INCLUDE A MODEL OF THE METHOD OF WHICH THE PROBLEM
WILL BE SOLVED. ALSO REFERENCES COULD BE MADE USING IEEE XPLORE
FOR MATERIALS.
MODELS OF SOLUTION AND MATLAB CODES COMMENTED . PLEASE NOTE THAT
ALL PARAMETERS HAS TO BE DEFINED AND EXPLAINED.
A FULL REPORTDETAILING THE REPORT THAT SHOWS TABLES OF DATA
INFERENCES FROM THIS DATA AND COMES UP WITH CRITICAL ANLYSIS OF
THE DATA AND MILESTONE THAT HAS BEEN ACHIEVED. ALSO DETAILS OF
PROBLEM SHOULD BE INCLUDED.
ALSO MENTION SHOULD BE MADE OF APPLICATION OF THE RESULT FROM
THIS PROJECT.
REFERENCES SHOULD ALSO BE MADE TOALL DATA SOURCE IN THIS REPORT.
