Hi, I'm relatively new here hence my lack of references and my aggressive bid to start building my reputation. However I have successfully scraped millions of records from hundreds of website. I could certainly do it for you. As a matter of fact I have already written a test version of a scraper for this purpose and though it's not finalized it could be ready to run tomorrow. I have a question though, how many records do you want to collect? Do you have genres or periods that you are more interested in? There are about 2.5 million album with information available online and about half of them have a picture. I could scrape that but assuming it takes only one second to load the page and scrape the data, that would still take a bout a month. Almost a year if it took 10 seconds. We are probably somewhere in between. However if we request too many records from the same source in a row we could be throttled too, unless we use a proxy service which comes with an additional cost. So do you need the whole set or can you do with only a subset? How urgent is your project? Could I deliver batches at a frequency that we define and you would pay on that basis too?
