Article – What is it to be Mortal?

I need an article, approximately 1-2 pages, describing the philosophical / religious issues regarding mortality, specifically, what it means to be mortal.
By definition: **Mortal -** a human being.
One direction you could take this:
*But what is it to be a human being? Is it simply the act of merely existing, or is there more to it than that? Death, consciousness, the need for food, shelter, clothing?*
## Deliverables
1) A complete article that is ready to be used for a religious themed website.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-use condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) Gramatically, punctually, and topically accuarate.
b) Sources are to be sited, if necessary.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
