I need someone to copy edit a short case analysis prior to submission to an academic journal. Both of the authors are fluent English speakers (one native) and the text of the case is approximately 4,500 words.
The copyediting needs to be more than just noting where a comma is missing. On top of correcting any pure grammatical mistakes, sentences may need to be restructured to sound intelligent. The structure of the paper is fine and the paragraphs are all in the right places.
The article will be provided in an MS Word file and is ready for copy editing. Ideally, the file would be returned with all of the needed corrections made in the paper within a few days using track changes. Obviously, there will be some corrections that will go awry because it is unclear what is meant in the original text or because of the technical features that are unique to the accounting/finance discipline. The file will need to be returned in MS Word format.
This case analysis is original scholarship and should not be shared with others or posted in other places. My coauthors and I will retain any and all copyrights to the article, as it is our intellectual property.
Thus, we are looking for a good copy editor. Of course, everyone will say they are good, so evidence of expertise is required.
