I need someone with structural engineering knowledge to define boundary element properties for standard and nonstandard boundary conditions in beams, as part of a numerical solution algorithm. Reinforced concrete beam element is modelled with partial differential eqiations and having some trouble defining bounday conditions to minimize the accumilation of numerical errors. Someone with advanced structural engineering knowledge will be ideal.

I need to know what numerical method u are using to resolve your beam (finite element, Galarkin's, Rayleigh-Ritz,...) and i need a sketch of your beam, loaded. Also, let me know if you are using some software for resolving your beam (like Femap or Nastran).

Hi, I am master student from civil engineering. Maybe I can help you. I know the beam you described and also know about finite difference method. But if you want to redistribute the boundary imbalance to other nodes, I think the finite difference method may not be the best choice. Do you hear about differential quadrature method, maybe it can consider the influence of every point to the concerned points. Thank you.
