Fully featured POS application, including integrated debit/credit/gift card functions. Utilizes bump screens (in code often referred to as KVS or Kitchen Video) to display current orders for food prep, as well as a customer facing screen showing order details (in code referred to as CDV or Customer Display Video). Has reporting functions as well as time clock built in. POS supports SKU codes for items. Code has been under development in house for over 10 years. Issue that needs to be solved concerns orders being dropped from main POS that are not being displayed on bump screens. All orders are programmed to display on all configured bump screens as soon as the order process is completed. What is happening is random orders are not being display on some or all of the bump screens. The issue is not repeatable on command, but is occurring across multiple sites. Bump screens are basically ‘dumb terminals’ in so far as all processes run on the main POS system and the bump screens are remote Linux displays. The issue is relatively new, although we are unable to track back through changes in the code to determine the cause.
