Hi, I am highly experienced working with SQL Server. I have worked with all version's of SQL Server from 2000 onwards. I am also very experienced in configuring IIS and websites under IIS so I know and understand both sides of your performance issue. I can start looking into this issue today, I will be available to look at it from around 09:30 GMT as once I have placed this bid I will need to pop out for around 1 hour. My initial plan would be to make use of a combination of SQL Server profiler / Widows Performance Monitor and SQL Server Execution Plan Analyser. I am confident I will be able to pin down the problem but I have a few questions for you. As you are using IIS is it a web site /web application that is being used to connect to SQL Server, the alternative is some kind of webservice? Secondly do you have any idea which as pect of the application is triggering CPU to reach 100%? What version of SQL Server are you using and which edition? What is the pecification of the server SQL Server is running on? Finally is there a development copy of the application assuming it is live at the moment?
