Hello, I am looking to design a Bitcoin Miner. The choice of ASIC is CoinCraft A1. The A1 communicates over the SPI. The microcontroller of choice is ATMEGA328 interfaced with a USB to UART device. We will have to determine if there is enough resources in the ATMEGA328 to handle the A1. Datasheet is attached. Hardware is very expensive and I only have one sample A1 and will not be shipped. I will connect all necessary pins and leave a dedicated PC for remote login for debugging and testing. Cgminer already has a driver showing how the A1 works. Job Consist of: - Develop Embedded Firmware to communicate to the PC and ASIC. - Develop PC Driver to communicate to cgminer or bfgminer - Voltage Control with a digital POT for overclocking - Temperature Sensor Developer must have experience with Bitcoin Hardware along with the Mining programs. I do not want to waste time explaining what is bitcoin. Thanks

Sorry - This is not a bid, but just thought of letting you know that, ATMEGA328 can run the SPI only upto 10Mhz (20Mhz oscillator/4 and a boost of x2). So you may not be able to get the 20Mhz SPI throughput for the A1 chip which seems to be crucial.. Thanks Vinod

Hi, I can design the system for you and I am better suited for it. Though an expert in embedded system and interfacing them with PC, I have worked in an ASIC-design company for quite some time. With experience in ASIC/FPGA, I worked with bitcoin community for developing open-source fpga design for bitcoin mining, and left only when MT Gox had their first security breach. We are experienced embedded developers. Few queries 1) what is the throughput your asic spi. 2) Why ATMEGA328 and usb 2 uart why not MSP 130 which supports user specific usb profiles. 3) Why not completly different web based system in the box design based on raspbery pi. Let us know and we will be definetly helpfull.
