Our company is developing an audio product that features an embedded audio application that plays back .wav files. When the user presses a key on a 49-note MIDI keyboard, a 32-bit-per-sample, 96KHz .wav file stored in the product's embedded system's memory is played back via a DAC. When the user presses another key, a different 32-bit-per-sample, 96 KHz .wav file stored in the embedded system's memory is played back via a DAC, and so on. The user may press up to 49 keys at once.
For completion of this project, please have this up and running on a development webserver I can access to test its functionality as described, via a MIDI controller at my location.
The application should be written in C++ or plain C.

That means we can build this player for you, with the MIDI command interface and the embedded WAV resources, in a solid and efficient way.
Sound playing technologies are very OS-dependent, and so it would be very useful to determine first of all which software platforms you are targeting.
We would also appreciate if you can explain us how do you intend to test this utility via the network.
