Civil Engineering Construction Tasks​​ 1.​Describe the procedure that was required to carry out the site survey and soil investigation for this project and provide examples of typical information used at each phase. ​10 marks 2.​Explain clearly the hazards associated with building on ‘brownfield’ sites, and how the oil contamination would be dealt with without dumping to landfill. Give an example of another contaminant that may be present on this site. ​10 marks 3.​Prepare brief clear written descriptions of the following construction methods and systems using suitably referenced images and your own drawings: a)​Construct the foundations for Building B.​20 Marks b)​Describe how a basement could be constructed for Building A including all major temporary work.​​​​​20 Marks Constructionarium Task 4.​Review your previous documentation for the 2016 Constructionarium and revise the: • Method Statement • Risk Assessments • Programme • Plant Schedule Submit the revised package of information to build either the Millau Bridge or Gherkin over a 5 day period.
