We are a new residential remodeling company. Currently seeking for a professional which has experience with construction bookkeeping. As of now we function based on excel managing our receivables and payables through excel only. We need to establish bookkeeping system and continue updating our quickbooks on weekly basis. An ideal candidate would be able to review our current business model and help us design a better way to manage our AR/AP as well as be able to enter all necessary accounting data into quickbooks. We manage few projects at a time. Expenditure needs to be applied in quickbooks according to each project. That being said we have a lot of material receipts and sub contractor payout that need to be properly applied to each project. Among other things, basic bookkeeping tasks need to be completed such as bank reconciliations, journal entries, job costing, account entries etc. This is a long term position. You can work at your own time as long as all entries are done by the due dates. Please submit your best bid. We can negotiate a pay rate based on weekly basis or otherwise. Thank You

I have done all that, have experience with QB, Have worked with time machine for attendance and payroll which had some legacy .NET software though. have experience with sales tax, withholding sales-tax(if that applies in your country) The amount i mentioned doesn't matter. the amount i mentioned is negotiable but i suggest not to. what i'm interested in making a software for your business while doing all this instead of following QB and then separate software for each task. i will start with excel and once we get things in line, we will start to migrate things to database. either on your server, or my server, that's same for me, What i offer is that we are currently working on an ERP, for that i need insights in various industries, even though i have some familiarity with construction business but not a pro, but that's not necessary for your business. you would provide me with data points, and i will take it from there to make each step of the process mostly automated( all the tasks that are related to me as an accountant) say, shouldn't time machine or bio-metrics be part of one software with your accounting software? or shouldn't you be able to automatically reconcile your CC and Bank statements. we have planned some cool features for our ERP, but that would just be a bonus for you.

I worked with quickbooks often when I prepared tax returns for small businesses and feel very comfortable with the program. I believe I can improve your AR/AP process and make sure the bookkeeping is up to date. I am not currently working so I would be able to devote as much time as necessary to this project. As an inactive CPA, I believe this would be a great fit and I look forward to hearing from you.

I am very interested in this project. I have another client in a similar trade that I have set-up in QuickBooks exactly the way you are requesting. My main goal is always to help the business save time and money by setting up and maintaining their bookkeeping system in a way that is functional and as simple as possible while capturing the necessary tracking. I am not sure what the bid and time frame parameters are in this, but I would propose an initial set-up fee then potentially a flat monthly fee moving forward.
