Watch What would it look like?, a short documentary produced by the Global Oneness Project online at [login to view URL] This documentary clearly suggests that we, as global citizens, have a duty to be socially responsible citizens. In other words, we must do more than act. We need to make conscious choices to inform others about the need to respect other people, cultures and our planet, while working towards a better world for all. In response to the documentary and the suggestions described above, your final assignment for this course is to create a detailed action plan outlining what you are going to do to act as a global citizen. Your action plan can be designed for implementation in your hometown, in the Ottawa area, or anywhere around the globe. Your action plan should follow the following format:  What would it look like? ○ Write a brief summary and reaction to the documentary “What would it look like?”  What issue matters to me? ○ Outline the issue you are acting upon. ○ You may wish to include resources from books, articles, or internet websites to clearly explain the issue you will be dealing with.  What can I do? ○ Explain what action you are going to take and why you made this choice.  How can I make a difference? ○ Create a detailed outline (with a timeline) of how you plan to make your action a reality. ○ This section can be written in point form, using a table or bullets to explain your proposed actions.  How will this make a difference? ○ Explain what you hope to achieve from completing your chosen action Your assignment will have five headings corresponding to the sections outlined above. Section 1, 2, 3, and 5 will be one paragraph long and Section 4 will be a point form explanation of your action plan. Your action plan is a requirement for this course. It is not necessary that you actually implement your action plan , but it is strongly recommended!
