Required to write a research paper on project management for 15-20 pages for the following specifications for a budget of 40-50 USD for the entire work you have 2 choices for the Research Paper. 1. Case study. This would involve describing a project that occured in the past - the reason/goal for the project, which PM methodology was used, what went well, what could have been improved, how risks were managed, etc. Apply all of the concepts you have learned to class to ANALYZE the efficacy of the Project Management itself. Do NOT focus on the Product/service/System that the project created - that just becomes part of the Case background. 2. Your other choice is to perform more intensive research into a topic within the Project Management arena. Some possible topics could be: leadership versus project management - which skills, training, experience set apart a leader from just a PM current models of measuring risk - which models work, do models differ based upon the industry sponsoring the project, etc. How companies obtain "buy in" (support) of all the project stakeholders and/or executives trends in team building trends in team membership = co-located vs remote, virtual vs physical, etc metrics used to define project success research needs to include first-hand interviews with Corporate Project Managers, or other personnel with direct knowledge, as well as research into industry journals
