I'm needing a simple app icon that is 1024x1024 pixels for an Android/iOS app. It doesn't need to be overly complex, just nice and simple. The app is a news aggregator that gives you small snippets of news articles, which should serve as some inspiration. The icon should have a material design feeling, so not too abstract, and it should be flat. The best inspiration are the Apple app icons, like Apple News or Google News. Nice and flat icons that are minimalistic. Avoid too many gradients and 3d/glossy colours. More is less.
